The Rise Cafe (our tuck shop) at Boondall State School is overseen by the P&C and we're proud of it.

The dedicated team behind the counter consists of a Tuck Shop Convenor, Karen Johnson, and a team of volunteers. Together they manage the herb and vegetable gardens, pick and prepare the produce to serve to our children and staff every... single... day...
​
Over many years our tuck shop has seen many changes from standard pies, sausage rolls, iced buns and lollies, to the healthy, nutritional menu we see today. We now offer a summer menu for terms 1 and 4 and winter menu in terms 2 and 3. This enables us to cook fresh, nutritional, seasonal foods.
We promote a healthy eating lifestyle under the Smart Choices Healthy Food and Drink supply strategy for Queensland schools.

The small print...
Orders for hot food, sandwiches and salads can be placed between 8.00 - 9.00am Monday - Thursday. Any orders after 9.00am are charged a $0.50 late fee.
Grades Prep - 3 may put their orders into the Tuck Shop basket in their classroom. Grades 4 - 6 can bring their orders to the counter, and either hand in, or post in the box provided.
Monday - Thursday
Lunch bags need to be clearly marked with name, class and order required. Separate order bags for 1st and 2nd break. Correct money is appreciated, however any change will be taped to the Tuck Shop bag and returned with the order.
Snack foods and drinks may be purchased over the counter. Iceblocks can be purchased at the play bell on both breaks. If it rains and wet play is called, no iceblocks can be purchased.

Fresh Food Friday
Order slips are sent home with students on Monday, and spare order forms are available at the Tuck Shop counter. All orders must be placed by 9.00am on Thursday mornings. Unfortunately, due to the need to buy and gather ingredients on Thursdays, we're unable to fulfil orders placed any later.
Orders for each break for grades Prep - 3 are packed into their lunch boxes and sent to class. Grades 4 - 6 must collect from the Tuck Shop counter.
